Doosan Babcock Energy is known worldwide for the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of steam generating plant and emission control systems for fossil-fuelled power stations and has been an innovator in the Power Generation Industry since its origins in the UK. It has continued this leading role in power generation by the development of heat recovery systems for combined cycle power plants that achieve high efficiencies by making maximum use of exhaust gases. In 1993 Doosan Babcock were the world leaders in selling Heat Recovery Steam Generators with over 15% of the total market. Doosan Babcock Energy continues to be a major supplier to the Nuclear Industry, having recently completed the design, manufacture and site erection of major Reactor Coolent System Components and the high integrity pipework for the world''s most advanced Pressurised Water Reactor - Sizewell B PWR.
This is backed up by the world''s leading role in non-destructive examination for pre-service and inservice inspections of the Reactor and Reactor Coolent System Components such as the Steam Generators.
